Megapost Deepack (All releases and livesets)
- Biography
Deepack are Marcel van der Zwan and Frank Pechler. Both guys started producing together after high school in the early 90..s. Besides spinning at various clubs and big events like Qlimax, Hardbass and Sensation Black, they are also well-known in numerous countries all over the world. Over the years they released different projects in various styles. In 2001 they combined forces together with Charly Lownoise. The three of them started producing under the name “Deepack”. The first productions, such as “Drop Out” and “Blue Horizons”, became massive early hardstylehits. After spinning @ some Q-Dance events they were asked to release some tracks on the infamous Q-label. Floorfillers, such as “100 procent”, “Here’s Johnny” and “Down Low”, are still played by DJ’s around the globe. They have produced remixes of Brooklyn Bounce’s “X2X” and DHHD’s “Funky Shit”, to name but a few. On the Q-label their first cooperation was with DJ Luna which resulted in “Kick this Mutha” and “Stomper”. After this success they made more anthems, such as Luna’s “Mind Space” for “Sensation Black 2004″ and “Now is the Time” for “Luna’s One Man Show” in the Gelredome footballstadium in Arnhem. Other cooperations followed such as artists like Showtek and The Prophet and there is more come, so stay tuned ![]()

Megapost Showtek (All releases and liveset)
Megapost Showtek
- Biography
Being part of the worlds leading indoor-event Sensation Black in 2006 happens to be the perfect indication of Showteks current status. The Eindhoven based act existing of the brothers Wouter (1982) and Sjoerd Janssen (1984) has reached the absolute top after years of blood, sweat and tears. Their stunning live-performances, devestating dj-sets, but above all, a bunch of superb productions and massive hits has led to world-domination in the harder dancescene. Their unique, catchy and banging sound not only sets the Dutch dancefloors on fire, nowadays Showtek has become a thrilling name abroad, even playing shows at the other side of the planet. “It’s hard to mention the ultimate highlight in our carreer so far. We’ve toured almost every European country, but we are extra proud having played Australia recently. At the moment we take the plane twice a month to perform in other countries.”
Both brothers were infected by the dancevirus at an early age and coming from a musical family it goes without saying that they soon started to produce music. After three years Wouter and Sjoerd finally had the feeling that their studio-efforts reached the level of professionality and maturity they had in mind, and the first record was given birth. Wouter can be desribed as the musical Mozart of the two with a broad vision on music and his talent to play keyboards very well. His brother Sjoerd being the more dancefloor-orientated producer who exactly knows what record does and doesn’t work for a crowd. The many years in the studio not only resulted in developing an own sound, but also learned them what he most effective and comfortable way of working is. “Our sound is catchy, melodic and harsh. Sometimes is well-thought, but it can also be very spontanous and loose. Since we each have a different view on music the Showtek-sound can be quite diverse. Nevertheless our sound is always recognisable as being a typical Showtek track.”
With the start of their own Dutch Masters Works label they created a quality-platform for their original sounding electronic music. Although The Showtekkers have only released self produced material on the label, the duo states that Dutch Masters Works in the near future will also see releases from others. Wouter and Sjoerd are best known as Showtek, although they use different pojectnames that are all very succesfull. The name Walt is used by Wouter and stands for techno- and trance-influenced music, with heavy beats and an experimental touch. Duro is a sideproject with pounding beats and nasty sounds and Southstylers is a coorporation between Walt and Zany. Headliner and Dutch Masters are both aliasses meant for the more accessible hardstyle. After having took Holland by storm the productions of the Showtekkers are nowadays shipped and licsensed all over the world. “It’s our main goal to perfection the Showtek-sound and reach more people around the globe with our music and through the label. However the most important thing is never lose the passion and fun.”
Showtek on stage is an experience people will not easily forget and no matter where they play the roof gets blown off. Showtek can be booked as a live-act, but as djs as well. Wouter and Sjoerd say that there’s no better high in life than seeing the crowd going nuts on their self-produced music. A packed dancefloor full of smiling face is the biggest reward they can imagine. Besides that a good performance motivates and inspires the brothers to push the pedal to the metal even more next time in the studio. “Even as djs we tend to play a lot of own productions and 80 percent of our sets consist of record we produced ourselves. It’s not that we don’t like other people’s music, but we get a huge kick playing our own tracks in front of an enthousiastic audience. It’s a privalige to have a steady and loyal following of people who really are into your music.”
Megapost Headhunterz (All releases and livesets)
Megapost Headhunterz
- Biography
As a nine year old boy, I gave up soccer (wich I sucked at) for singing at a kids choir. In a massive studio built in an old church in Veenendaal (Holland) we recorded albums for kids such as Christmas songs and the kids for animals project. Singing went really well and I had my first look in a professional recording studio, wich turned me on big time. When I was not singing I was sitting behind the mixers pretending to be the technician. Later on I also did some recordings there after having some explanation.
When I was ten years old, I started voice acting on movies. Through the last ten years I have done many, many movies and still doin’ it. At my 14th I left the choir. I was becoming a teenager and singing is just not cool at that age.. But I still had my first dj mixer wich I had for my 12th birthday. After a few years of eating dust under the bed, I suddenly decided that I had to become a DJ. I lent some money, bought my first second hand turntables and connected ‘em to my old mixer.
That was the moment of big influence on the rest of my life. Deep inside I knew it: This was gonna be it. It took me little time to discover that if a dj wants to be somebody, producing is a must. Without any expectations I downloaded Fruity Loops and locked myself into my room for hours, days, weeks. I don’t know why, I just did it, as if it spoke for itself. But the endless trial and error sessions brought me to a higher level in fast tempo. I was 17 at that time.
The Djing was also going great. Me and my best friend Bobby (DeeJ-010) did a dj contest for DefQon 1 (Q-dance) and we made it to the festival. This was my first big party to play on.
After one and a half years the local newspaper brought me to a new record store in Veenendaal (again). They turned out to be a starting record label to and I gave them my productions. A few months later, the first record, with the a-side produced by Bobby (DeeJ-010) and the b-side represented by me, was a fact. (Nasty D-Tuners – Check Ya Head) It didn’t take long for the second release, also a cooperation with Bobby, to be pressed. (Nasty D-Tuners – Breaking the Rules) Both records are played on big parties, by big Dj’s from all over the world.
At that time I was already negotiating with Dov “The Prophet” Elkabas, the big boss from Scantraxx records (the best Hardstyle label there is). It took a while, but at the end of 2005, he offered me and Bobby an artist contract. Of course we signed it! And yes, we’re in good hands.
Since that time everything started going really fast. I played on Q-base 2005 (Airport Weeze, Gerymany) and together with Bobby on XQlusive The Prophet (Heineken Music Hall).
And the story continues…
