Well every DAW made is an equivalent to another, they all can do the same things as another DAW can.

However the age old argument is normally you're best with what you grow up using.

Since I've been using FL Studio since I was like 12, I choose that. Just because as the poll states "which one works best for me." It's not that it's any better than any other DAW, no DAW is better than another by default. Every DAW can do the same thing as another DAW, and I've proven this to myself and many other people by using examples. It's just that when you start at a young age producing mediocre techno music, and grow into an avid hardstyle producer with one DAW it seems to grow on you and to be the only thing you care to use.

But I'll never be the guy that says "Oh Cubase is better than all," or "FL Studio has better features." In many cases it's not the car, it's the driver. If you can't do something in a DAW it's either because you're too lazy to look it up, too ignorant to realize how easy it actually is to do it, or simply you're just not that naturally gifted in the first place.

I know I typed a lot more than I should have for a simple poll, but I like explaining why I vote for what I did.

yeah i have to agree with what chemich said. that logic makes a lot of sense.

for me, i went with fruity loops, but that is pretty much the only daw program i've used. it seems to work great for me, even though im not a pro at making music.....but i guess practice makes perfect too, right??

ive been using reason 3 for years then got reason 4, i really liked them, but i was speaking to a friend who suggested vst's are the way forward,so today i purchased fruity loops 8, it took me a full day just to get a general amalgamation of noises together!!it's daunting but i really like the sounds i can get out of it!!ive just got vanguard and zt3a which are fun to play with because ive never used them before.
also my friend uses ableton then cubase to master it after, can fruityloops do its own mastering?and to what degree?

Why don't you learn how to do it yourself? There are many upon many mastering tutorials for FL Studio, for any genre, so figure it out. I had to do everything myself because no one gave a shit if I wanted to do it or not, you can do the same.
